Eight-months pregnant woman in HOUR-LONG screaming match with flight crew after being told she couldn’t fly

THIS is the moment an eight-month pregnant woman raged at flight crew after being told she was not allowed to fly that close to her due date.

Dramatic footage shows the mother-to-be enter an hour-long screaming match with plane staff after they requested she disembark the aircraft.

The woman’s verbal tirade was filmed by other passengers awaiting take-off on a Tibet Airlines flight on Monday at the Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport in Sichuan Province, China.

The footage shows other passengers already seated as the woman argued with the crew at the front door of the cabin.

The woman can be heard shouting aggressively as airline staff attempted to calm her down.

Witnesses said the crew repeatedly urged her to disembark after she told them she was more than 35 weeks pregnant and required special assistance.

One passenger told local media she had “refused to leave the plane despite the captain coming out to persuade her”.

The standoff ultimately lasted over an hour.

Police officers reportedly boarded the aircraft after about 90 minutes to escort the woman and her husband off.

The quarrel caused the flight to be delayed by more than an hour.

A customer service representative from Tibet Airlines said according to company policy, pregnant women up to 32 weeks can fly as ordinary passengers unless medically unfit.

Passengers between 32 and 35 weeks pregnant are required to supply a medical certificate from a county-level or higher medical institution within 72 hours of departure.

They are also required to sign a risk disclosure form.

Women who are more than 35 weeks pregnant, within four weeks of giving birth, or less than seven days postpartum are prohibited from flying due to safety concerns.

The Civil Aviation Administration of China says airlines will not carry passengers who are more than 35 weeks pregnant and travellers must truthfully declare their condition before boarding any flight.

Tibet Airlines has not announced any disciplinary action against staff involved, and no injuries were reported during the delay.

In August, a brawl was captured on a Ryanair flight, sparked by a crying baby.

The flight was plunged into chaos as the fight escalated, requiring police to attend the aircraft which had travelled from London Stansted to Lisbon.

Tempers flared when the plane touched down in Portugal, and cops were called to deal with the disturbance.

Passengers were kept on board for more than an hour, waiting for police to arrive.

A Ryanair spokesperson told The Sun: “The crew of this flight from London Stansted to Lisbon (12 Aug) called for police assistance after two passengers became disruptive onboard.

“The aircraft was met by local police and these passengers were removed.

“Ryanair has a strict zero tolerance policy towards passenger misconduct and will continue to take decisive action to combat unruly passenger behaviour, ensuring that all passengers and crew travel in a safe and respectful environment, without unnecessary disruption.”
