This is the terrifying moment a Russian woman threatens her taxi driver with a massive machete because she can’t stand the dance music blaring in his cab.
Footage shows the knife wielder angrily demanding “chanson” songs instead- music with no shortage of lyrics.
The passenger rummages through her bag moments before brandishing the machete near the drivers face.
In a moment of panic, the man sways to the side, attempting to stay away from the blades edge.
After holding his hands up in sheer horror, the driver switched to the woman’s favourite radio station and only then did she casually set the lethal blade she wielded down.
The ride from hell, was a journey in Samara City, Russia, and ended with the taxi driver dropping the mystery woman off at a local cemetery.

The shocking scene was caught on a camera inside the cab with the woman lounging in the back seat.
Removing the knife from her bag and thrusting the machete between the front seats at the driver, the woman – believed to be in her fifties – told him: “I don’t like this kind of [dance] music.”
The petrified cabbie winced and edged away as he drove the taxi, stuttering: “I understand, I understand. I’ll turn it off.”
She then demanded: “Couldn’t you understand the first time?”
Footage shows the driver ignoring the Russian woman- she then results to violence, condemning him with the huge machete.
She ordered him: “Turn on chanson,
“When you turn on [my favourite chanson]I’ll put [the machete] away.”
The desperate driver slipped off his seat belt – he appeared ready to exit the car if the “psychopath passenger” threatened him again.
“I’ve already turned everything on,” he told her, after switching to the “chanson” music channel she demanded.
He nervously asked the woman: “Do you know where we’re going?”
She replied: “We’re going to the cemetery.”
Reports say the terrifying trip ended without violence despite the woman’s onslaught of demands.
Law enforcement in Samara have launched a search for the machete-wielding woman.
Officers from Smyshlyaevka police station in Samara said the driver had not made a formal complaint, but they were investigating anyway after the disturbing video went viral.
Officials are aiming to trace the mystery, headscarf-wearing woman and her machete.
For Russians, chanson means anything from bard songs and prison ballads to sentimental or romantic pop.
The genre is often associated with blatnaya pesnya [criminal underworld songs].
Elsewhere, footage emerged showing a man armed with a huge knife running through the streets of a major Spanish city.
