A TEENAGE girl has allegedly been gang-raped by five Syrian asylum seekers in Germany.
The 17-year-old told police she was attacked after being lured into one of the suspect‘s apartment in the town of Heinsberg.
Five men have been arrested since the alleged rape was reported, the Aachen public prosecutor’s office has confirmed.
The young woman claims she was gang-raped by the group of men on Saturday morning.
Police launched an investigation and just a day later, as German special forces swarmed an apartment in Heinsberg-Unterbruch near to the Dutch border.
The teenager had told cops the apartment was the scene of the alleged crime when she filed the police report.

All five suspects are aged between 17 to 26, according to investigators.
They are all believed to have lived in Germany for a considerable amount of time.
One of the men reportedly managed to flee police custody before being captured a short time later.
The teenager is not said to be German, police added.
Her nationality remains unknown.
Investigators are now probing a theory that the teen may have been in a relationship with one of the detained asylum seekers, reports Daytime show.
Police are also looking into each of the five men arrested for other possible crimes, says public prosecutor Katja Schlenkermann-Pitts.
Elsewhere, Germany is still dealing with a disturbing epidemic after hundreds of people have been reporting sexual assaults in public swimming pools this year.
In one of the worst hit regions, 74 alleged attacks had been recorded over the summer with several involving children – including eight young girls in one day.
Back in June, cops arrested four Syrian suspects, aged 18 to 28, over suspicions they assaulted up to eight girls in a public swimming pool in Hesse.
Weeks ago, the Netherlands was rocked by the news that a 22-year-old asylum seeker had been arrested over the alleged murder of a teenage girl.
The suspect is accused of stabbing young 17-year-old Lisa to death.
He had been arrested four days beforehand over separate allegations of rape, police revealed.
