This San Antonio Report article is about the new nonprofit, Community Labs, housed at BioBridge’s headquarters that aims to regularly test people, at schools or workplaces, so that asymptomatic carriers can be quickly identified and isolated before they can spread the virus.

The team at BioBridge working on the project relied on the expertise of Dr. Marjorie David, assistant professor in UT Health San Antonio’s Department of Pathology, and Dr. Marsha Kinney, chairman of the Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics department at UT Health San Antonio. UT Health San Antonio researchers also paired samples needed to evaluate the testing process.
