The majority of children with COVID-19 in 26 countries fared well clinically compared to adults during the first four months of the pandemic, a newly released study in the EClinicalMedicine, a journal of The Lancet.

The main takeaway is that children diagnosed with the virus, in general, have an excellent prognosis,” said Dr. Alvaro Moreira, an assistant professor of pediatrics, who was the lead author of the review. “It’s rare to see a pediatric patient having to be admitted to an intensive care unit or even the hospital.”
