Dr. Fred Campbell, General and Hospital Medicine, was a guest on KTSA Radio’s Jack Riccardi Show.

They discussed the spike in COVID-19 and the surge of patients being admitted into the hospital. They talked about the difference in whether a person is admitted with symptoms and what generally causes a person to go into the intensive care unit, which is related to breathing problems.

They discussed measures that caregivers may be using to avoid intubation, such as prone positioning and other methods of boosting oxygenation.
