Researchers at UT Health San Antonio and the University of Texas at Austin teamed up to create a low-cost ventilator with a unique design using a windshield wiper.

“A usual ventilator costs $30,000 approximately. These new AMBU bag ventilators are costing under $1,000,” said Dr. Marc Feldman, a professor of medicine in the division of cardiology.
