The regional director of Budget and Treasury of the Government of Madeira (PSD/CDS-PP), Dulce Veloza, died this Wednesday, November 5th, announced the island executive, expressing his “deep regret” and highlighting the excellence with which he performed his duties.

“With a degree in Economics, Dulce Veloza joined the Regional Public Administration of the Autonomous Region of Madeira in November 1990. Over her almost 35-year career, she performed with dedication and excellence several roles of great relevance and responsibility”highlights the Madeiran government, in a statement.

Dulce Veloza was deputy director of the Regional Directorate of Budget and Accounting and, later, of the Regional Directorate of Budget and Treasury.

In 2020, she was appointed regional director of Budget and Treasury, “a role she performed with recognized merit until the date of her death”.

The Regional Government emphasizes that “She will always be remembered for her exceptional work capacity, professionalism and dedication to the public cause, guiding her actions with a deep sense of responsibility and rigor”.

“Her integrity, dynamism and tireless commitment to the financial management of the region leave an important mark in the memory of all those she suffered and in the history of our Regional Administration”he adds.

The Madeiran executive expresses his deep regret and extends condolences to Dulce Veloza’s family and friends, as mentioned in the note.
