Dr. Patrick Ramsey, a maternal-fetal medicine specialist in the Department of Obstetrics/Gynecology, answered questions from pregnant mothers related to COVID-19.

Dr. Ramsey said that there appears to be no evidence that an unborn baby can become infected before birth. He said that if the mom tests positive for COVID-19 after the baby is born, the recommendation is that she be quarantined away from the baby for 14 days.
